I learned how to crochet during a family camping trip shortly after my first son was born. I can remember being so excited to learn as I had admired the craft for a long time. I learned that weekend how to chain, single crochet, and double crochet. I spent the entire time by the fire (when the newborn would allow) trying to make a scarf. I still have that scarf today and it reminds me how much I've grown in this craft.

I enjoy many of the patterns found on Etsy. It's my favorite place for inspiration and I credit many of those artists with my current success. It is only recently that I have felt comfortable enough to branch out on my own and start designing my own items. My acorn hat is the first and can be found in my store.

This is still my part time hobby as I haven't found a way to make it work full time. Full time I'm a product line manager for a marketing company geared towards photographers. I love what I do there as well but it's nice to come home and release my creative energy through crafting!

My two sons, husband, and I all live in Winona, Minnesota. We spend a lot of time outdoors and on the Mississippi river when possible. Camping and kayaking are our favorite past times!
